Privacy Policy

TapeMeazure is project management software for residential builders and remodelers. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it. It applies to tapemeazure.com and to the TapeMeazure application.
Who we are
TapeMeazure is operated as a sole proprietorship in the United States. You can reach us at russell@tapemeazure.com or (334) 468-6645.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, phone number and company name for the builder and anyone he adds to his account.
- Project information — job addresses, schedules, tasks, budgets, documents, photos and notes that a builder enters or uploads.
- Contact information for people on a job — the names, phone numbers and email addresses of subcontractors, vendors and homeowners that a builder enters so TapeMeazure can pass along messages about that job.
- Messages — the text messages and emails sent and received through TapeMeazure about a job, so the builder has a record of them.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as browser type, device type and pages visited, used to keep the service working.
How we use it
- To run the service: show schedules, budgets, documents and messages to the people on a job who are entitled to see them.
- To send job-related notifications by text and email — schedule changes, delivery notices, selection deadlines, payment reminders and replies.
- To provide support and respond to questions.
- To keep the service secure and to meet legal obligations.
Mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors of the service for the purpose of supporting the text messaging program is permitted. All other categories of information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency and cost. Message frequency varies and depends on activity on your project; most recipients receive a few messages a week while their job is active. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not rent or trade phone numbers or email addresses.
- We do not send marketing texts. Text messages are about the specific job the recipient is working on or having built.
- We do not buy contact lists. Every phone number in TapeMeazure was entered by a builder who obtained it directly from that person.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run TapeMeazure — for example our hosting provider, our email provider and our text messaging provider — and only to the extent they need it to perform that service. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Text messaging
Phone numbers are provided to a builder directly by the person being contacted, in person, by phone, or on a signed contract or work order, along with their agreement to receive text updates about that project. Anyone can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our Terms & Conditions for the full messaging terms.
How long we keep information
We keep project information for as long as the account is active, and afterwards as needed to provide a customer with an archive of their own work or to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete information by writing to the address below.
Security
Information is stored with reputable hosting providers, transmitted over encrypted connections, and access is limited to people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
TapeMeazure is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to russell@tapemeazure.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
